Olympus 35 SP
Olympus 35SP – I desperately wanted one of these as a teenager. I’ve had this one since January 2002. Why would anyone who has a Leica M-2 and M-4 want an Olympus 35SP? Well – it goes to sheer convenience, a superb optic, and auto exposure capability. For a complete rundown on this camera, I recommend two sites:

http://www.cameraquest.com/olysp.htm

and

http://www.ph.utexas.edu/~yue/misc/rangfndr.html

The second site has a lot of information about rangefinder cameras in general. They – and the folks who still use them – are kind of rare. . .

The battery issue mentioned in both sites has been solved on this camera with a CRIS Adapter – which allows the use of a modern silver-oxide without making the meter unhappy.

Image of my Olympus 35SP was shot with a lowly SONY DSC P30 Cybershot digital camera.
